holiday_thanksHi, this is Sonyaaa and Valeria, the kittens. We would just like to say a HUGE thank-you to everyone who granted our wishes, and everyone else's wishes as well. We didn't expect to get much except maybe a glance at our photo albums, but so far, we have gotten nine out of our ten wishes! (The anti-cat laws regarding the kitchen counter are STILL in effect.)
We know that humans make a big deal out of their little green pieces of paper and do not like having to give them up to others, and we know that humans are also possessive of their time. But people in this community have been giving up both time and little green papers to each other, and they are not doing it to get anything in return. They are just doing it because they are nice. We are amazed at how generous people can be, especially when allowed to be giving on their own time and terms, instead of being hassled by the phone people and the door-to-door people and the other stuff that humans are always muttering about. When they are allowed to CHOOSE whether to give or not, a lot of them give! They give things that they want, like time and little green papers, so that others can have time and little green papers as well. I think it shows that humans are very, very nice.
Mom has been trying to grant as many wishes as she can, given limited time and severely limited funds-- if it doesn't fit in an envelope or she has to spend money to acquire it, then she can't send it. She would like to say that she specifically has a large collection of music (including rock, pop, indie, folksy-singer-with-guitar, 80s, goth/industrial, Broadway, and an extensive video game soundtrack collection, as well as various bands that most people have never heard of,) and that she wants to share MP3s with everyone.
She had a text file on her folding machine (you know, the machine these words are on) with the email address of someone who wanted 80s music, and then, well, Sonyaaa sort of stepped on the glowy button and made the folding machine go all dark, and the text file sort of disappeared. Whoops. So then Mom went and looked through the "music CDs and MP3s" tag, but she can't find the post again. If there's anyone she has promised music to (she remembers the 80s person in particular because she had stuff picked out) who hasn't received it by now, please tell her your email address and what you wanted so that she can get it to you. Also, if her music collection interests you, feel free to go ahead and directly ask her for some (whether or not she's found you and promised it to you,) because it's no problem for her to get music to everyone who wants it.
Anyway, again, we want to give a huge thank-you to everybody who's taking their time and/or little green papers to give stuff to anyone! You are all amazing, and we give you our love and purrs!
[Edit: This is breaking news. Mom says that in other places very far away, not all of the little pieces of paper are green. We do not care much about colours because they are a human thing, but also thank you to the people who give up little pieces of paper that are not green. We are saying thank you for giving up the things that you value, whatever they are. Prrrow!]
